ONE DAY TRIP TO NUSA PENIDA

Island hoping is definitely one of the best activities that you can do during your trip in Bali. One of the most famous islands is Nusa Penida. Have you ever been there before?

Nusa Penida is a small exotic island located in southeast of Bali island, neighboring with Nusa Lembongan and other twelve even smaller islands. This island can be visited just for one-day trip from Bali (you can return on the same day, going there earliest in the morning and come back beofre sunset) or you can even stay over nights there since there are a lot of homestays and villa as well in that island.

| How to get there? |

I took a one day trip to Nusa Penida from Pelabuhan Sanur via Maruti Express Speedboat. Departure time from Pelabuhan Sanur at 07.30. The trip duration was around 45 minutes. Please make sure that you get to the port on time and go straight to the ticket box to get your "boarding pass". The boarding pass is actually a laneyard with Maruti sign on it, just to make sure that you will step into the right speedboat because there will be a lot of other speedboat there.

The picture above shows where the boat is. Please make sure that you're not wearing trousers or long dress, unless you'll get wet all over your bottom since we have to hop on the boat from the water (because the boat won't dock on the sand). And please find the picture below to see inside the boat condition. The boat is clean and comfortable enough. I suggest you to take the front row seat to avoid seasick.

| How to get around Nusa Penida? |

There are 2 options for you to get around this island :

Rent your own bike or car
Book a travel package

I personally recommend you to just book a travel package especially when you will have a one day trip to Nusa Penida. Firstly it will ease you to move from one destination to another, secondly it will effectively save your energy because basically you will go around the island.

| How is the signal there? |

I tell you, the signal is super sucks in Nusa Penida. Even Telkomsel coverage is not that good. There are some blind spots in some areas. So I highly recommend you to download the maps route before you start riding or driving your own vehicles. Or else, booking a tour package is much simpler for you to avoid lost connection of google maps.
